Top Students appointed at Beck

“The new Head Boy and Head Girl of Archbishop Beck Catholic College have pledged to encourage their fellow students to participate fully in the social and academic life of the College” said Peter Lynch Head of the 6th Form at the College.

Stewart Allen from Fazakerley, the Head boy, and Jennifer Little from Norris Green, head girl, spoke of their hopes and aspirations as they assumed their new roles.

“I see my role as a representative of the College,” said Stewart, who plays Timpani in the College Wind Ensemble and is a keen musician. “It is a real honour to be appointed as head boy and I hope I can live up to my predecessors and continue to develop this role for the enhancement of life at Archbishop Beck.”

Stewart, who is enjoying his studies of Physics Biology, Chemistry and Maths with an aim to study Medicine at university, completed his primary school education at Holy Name Primary school.

Likewise Jennifer feels “very honoured to be appointed as head girl and hopes to try her best to fulfil her role in representing the College”.

Jennifer studies Psychology, English Literature, I.T and Music and hopes to attend university, to study Clinical Psychology. She feels. “it is very important to be a role model for younger students and to help them by being a person who they feel they can approach when they want to discuss any issues concerning them.

Jennifer is also a key member of the College’s Music Programme, and has represented the College in numerous Festivals and public events.

Together the new Head Students want to make a difference to the College and to further develop life in the 6th Form for fellow students.
