The Aims of Religious Education
To ensure that all pupils:
- Are led to a value of their own worth and giftedness
- In recognising their own worth, can respect others with differing cultures, religions and backgrounds
- Study the Catholic Church Church's response to life and teachings of Jesus
- Study the sacramental life of the Church and the liturgical calendar
- Come to some understanding of the Body of Christ, meaning the Church Community in everyday life and relationships with people
- Consider other major religions to note similarities and differences in people's approaches to God and their own spirituality
