Teenage Cancer Trust
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
A huge thank you goes to the Archbishop Beck Catholic College community who have been supporting a fund raising drive by students for the teenage cancer trust.
Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer aged between 13 and 24. They build specialist units within NHS hospitals, bringing young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them. They want every young person with cancer to have access to this specialist support, no matter where they live.
They rely solely on donations to fund their vital work. Aisling a student in Year 9 started fund raising at the recent PTA Ladies Pamper Day and along with fellow students, Erin and Lucy have been busy selling items on behalf of the teenage cancer trust.
Aisling said, “It is really important that we help this charity because they need funds to carry on their very important work, I became involved in this work because my mum has been involved with this charity at her work place.”
