The Liverpool School Sport Partnership in close conjunction with Archbishop Beck Catholic College have once again delivered a fantastic event for students with severe additional learning difficulties from across Merseyside.
Olympic Gold medallist Darren Campbell supported the event. He spoke at the opening ceremony, helped students at all the activity stations, presented the awards and of course made his Olympic Gold medal freely available for photographs.
There were more than 150 students coming from 13 schools across Merseyside. Every student took part in 6 activities that were run on the day by a superb group of Young Leaders from Archbishop Beck. The 6th Form and Year 9 student leaders were invaluable and the event could not have run without their efforts and the efforts of the dedicated organising group from the Liverpool School Sport Partnership.
The day culminated in Redbridge High School winning the overall event with Mill Green School winning the Red P1-4 competition, Princes School winning the White P5-7 competition and Redbridge High school winning the Blue P8+ competition.
We look forward to hosting and organising the event again next year.
