Sixth Form students attended their last official event on Friday evening 27th June as members of the Archbishop Beck Catholic College community when they gathered at their Sixth Form Prom.
A hallmark of the evening were the speeches of praise heaped on this body of students, who had all made a special mark in their contribution to the life of the College.
Words like inspirational, hardworking, loyal, going the extra mile, outstanding academic achievement were said time and time again by staff.
Headteacher Paul Dickinson described the evening as “a wonderful event which brought our young people together for the last time, they are simply the best and we wish them every success in the coming year. He also thanked the organising group and reminded the students, that as Mark Twain said: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
