“Bruised, Hurting and Dirty”- A powerful lesson in humanity!

As part of their 6th form NOCN Core Religious Education course, 6th form students witnessed the Ten Ten Theatre group perform a stunning one-woman play which told of the emotional story of a woman trafficked from Eastern Europe to the UK under the pretence of starting a new life the reality of which, was a life of despair. Following the performance, an interactive session allowed students to discuss topics raised by the performance, questioned the actress about her character, before concluding with a prayerful reflection.

Head boy, Ellis said after the presentation that “Pope Francis said in a speech to World Leaders that Human trafficking is a crime against humanity and must be stopped after seeing this powerful presentation it certainly was a powerful reminder to us all of this dreadful situation so many young women find themselves in and we must do everything we can to stop it”

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.” (Matthew 25:35)
