Our First Christmas in Our New Home!
Archbishop Beck Catholic College students brought holiday cheer and seasonal greeting to a full house on Tuesday 18th December 2014 when the college held its first Christmas concert in the new college campus as part of the "Year of Celebration" activities.
Groups of students included the wonderful dance ensemble, college choir, concert band and string ensemble all performed to perfection. A particular heart-warming performance was the rendition of 'Christmas in the Trenches' by senior student Jack, commemorating the first Christmas of WW1.
The combined choirs finished the concert with a rendition of Handel's 'Hallelujah Chorus', combining forces with the Aintree Community Choir.
The College choir then finished the year singing carols at the Anfield Football stadium prior to the Liverpool match.
As the college closed for the Christmas holidays, Director of Music, Bruce Hicks said "it was a wonderful occasion where the message of Christmas was shown in word, music and dance."
