Clapperboard Film Project
This year a really talented group of Year 9 pupils took part in the Clapperboard Youth film making project. Working together with professional film makers and scriptwriter Michelle Langan, they wrote and produced a short film called ‘Trading Places’ which explored the theme of stereotypes. The pupils together with Mr Begusch recently visited The Lowry Theatre in Salford Quays where their achievements were celebrated.
The Clapperboard Awards are held annually to celebrate the film-making achievements of youngsters, and a host of famous faces put on their red carpet gladrags to present the gongs to the stars of the future.
Among the winners was Kerris who can be extremely pleased after picking up the prize for best actress.
Some of the film makers are pictured below with the certificates they received for taking part in the project.
The film together with films we have made in previous years can be seen at:
Special thanks go to Miss Griffiths for co-ordinating this year’s project.
