Explore | Dream | Discover

The college community is congratulating two students from the 6th Form who have been awarded life changing career pathways.

Ellis; outstanding Head boy, public speaker, debater and actor has gained a place at the world famous Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Ellis received high praise for the outstanding audition he did and was delighted to learn that despite a record number of applicants for places in the new academic year, he was selected and offered an unconditional place. Speaking on his return to Liverpool following the London audition and selection process he said, “I am delighted to have gained this entry, the ideal place to further develop as an actor, when you consider the famous alumni Daniel, Dominic and Helen to name but a few.”

Ellis has taken part in local dramas such as “Brass Razoo”, “The Lion in winter” and “Spring Awaking”

Congratulations to Daniel, who has been offered a place on the Trainee Associate School Leaver Programme at Ernst & Young.

Ernst & Young is the third largest professional services firm in the world, it has 190,000 employees in over 700 offices around 150 countries in the world. It provides assurance, tax, consulting and advisory services to companies.

The opportunity arose through a college careers event earlier in the year. Students were given information about opportunities for school leaders within the company and encouraged to apply.

Daniel seized this opportunity, was selected for interview and was offered the place in this prestigious global company.

Paul Stirling, Deputy Headteacher at the College said, “Students are at the heart of everything we do at the college, so we are delighted that our high expectations and aspirations is matched by these achievements from our students”. He reminded all students in the College 6th Form to consider the following:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
