Introducing Madelaine Head Girl
2015 - 2016
What primary school did you attend?
Our Lady and St Philomena’s in Fazakerley.
How do you see your role as Head Girl of the college?
I would like to think of myself as a role model for younger people and as an approachable person if someone has any problems or needs help with anything.
What are your personal strengths?
I think it is obvious that I am a confident individual; it was only this year that I was involved with the college’s production of Guys and Dolls and I really enjoyed performing on stage. I also think music is a strength of mine as in the summer, I achieved a London College of Music Diploma qualification in music theatre, the equivalent to a first year module at university.
If you were Prime Minister:
There are many issues I feel need a platform but one that is paramount for me would be discrimination against certain segments of our community. As Prime Minister I would introduce better education tackling bullying and discrimination within communities.
Plans and ambitions for the future:
In the future I would like to be a writer and I hope that going to university to study English Literature and creative writing will help me discover what type of writing I want to base my career around.
Highlight of my time at Archbishop Beck:
Without a doubt my time in the College choir. Not only winning many titles such as “Woodlands Choir of the Year” and performing at weddings and Disneyland which have been incredible experiences but, last year, when we sung with Andre Bocelli has to be one of the greatest achievements I have ever had. I will never forget singing on the Echo Arena stage with some of my best friends and one of the greatest opera singers alive.
