University of Liverpool student delegates recently delivered Maths and English Masterclass workshops to some of our Year 7 and Year 8 students.
Two classes of Year 7 students recently participated in creative writing workshops with visitors from The University of Liverpool as part of the school's Most Able programme. Students worked in groups, experimenting with character and setting, structuring texts and discussing dystopian fiction and the role of the novel in a world of technology. The students really enjoyed the sessions and came up with some very engaging ideas!
Year 8 students participated in a Maths Masterclass, solving maths problems in relation to Ratio and Proportion. Students also put University delegates under the spotlight asking questions about University life! A challenging session that was beneficial for all involved.
