Grand Slam Success for College

Archbishop Beck Catholic College are celebrating after a highly successful week of achievements in sport and music.

The College music department are celebrating after winning the school section of the Wirral Festival, with the College Saxophone Ensemble winning the” larger ensemble section”. Also there was a great deal of success in various vocal classes the College students had entered.

The College Chamber Choir also won their heat of the Woodlands Hospice Choir of the Year and now go forward to the Final in June.

Assistant Headteacher, Bruce Hicks said this has been one of the most highly successful terms ever for the College, as well as the College hosting the visit from the American Music educator Dr Randy Navarre, who praised the work, commitment and achievements of the young people at the College.

On all fronts the College is certainly enjoying a golden era of success. Headteacher Paul Dickinson also commented on the achievements following a glowing report from a recent visit from OFSTED, adding that Archbishop Beck Catholic College is over subscribed for September and this is certainly a reflection of the excellent academic environment of Archbishop Beck.
