The Modern Foreign Languages Department trip to France took place in March. 30 students from year 7, 8 and 10 once again travelled to the Pas de Calais region of France to enjoy four days immersed in French culture and language.
Whilst in France, students had the opportunity to make croissants and then eat some freshly baked croissants, pain au chocolate and baguettes at the Boulangerie. We visited a sweet factory to learn the process of sweet making and then we got to taste the freshly made sweets.
We visited a snail farm where some of our students learnt the benefits for the skin of snail slime!
We also went to the seaside town of Le Touquet where the students explored the town, visited local shops and enjoyed a drink in a local caf .
We stayed in the lovely Chateaux d Ebblinghem and the students thoroughly enjoyed the facilities available to them of an evening, including a football pitch, pool tables and arcade games.
The students were a credit to their families and the school with many students taking the opportunity to practise their language skills. Well done to all!
