The National Eucharistic Pilgrimage & Congress Adoremus 2018 took place in Liverpool on 7-9 September 2018 in the Echo Arena and in venues across the city. On the first day of the conference, Friday 7th of September, a Eucharist themed day for year 10 students was held which encouraged them to explore and celebrate Eucharist as Faith in Action.
The day was led by Bishop John Rawsthorne, Matt Jeziorski education officer from PAX Christi, James Trewby, Justice and Peace education worker from the Columban missionaries and Janette Porter a researcher LJMU and active in youth ministry in the diocese.
Our college sent 5 delegates (Mr Postlethwaite, Mr Benson, Matthew, Lucy and Kieran) to the event which was held at Notre Dame High School, Liverpool L5 5AF who were able to be part of an experience that has not been held in the United Kingdom since 1908! The event was an opportunity for them to reflect on what Eucharist means to them and to examine the way in which they can put their faith into action.
