Liverpool Women's Hospital Visit Thursday 17th July
10 College students from Year 10 and 7 from Year 12 went to the Liverpool Women's Hospital to attend a careers fair for students interested in working for the NHS.
The students were able to speak to staff from each department below and spend time learning what the roles involved. Students visited the following departments:
- Maternity
- Theatre
- Environmental
- Pharmacy
- Intensive Care
- Genetics
- Human Resources
- Hygienists
- Ultrasound
All students enjoyed themselves and told me how interesting it was and some of the Yr12's said this had confirmed what they wanted to do in the NHS.
Many thanks to the college staff led by Mr Stagg. Speaking after the event Mr Stagg praised the students for their "excellent approach in understanding this amazing profession and the tremendous, rewarding and uplifting career that working in the NHS can be."
