Archbishop Beck Catholic College was delighted to start our 60th year celebrations by welcoming The English Speaking Union to the college for the branch heat of the Churchill Public Speaking competition.
A wonderful evening of speeches were given by all participants and congratulations to the college teams who will now move into the branch final in January. Speaking after the event headteacher Paul Dickinson said "The college community is extremely proud of its outstanding record in public speaking achievements and this reflects the hard work, dedication and commitment that our students give to this extended curricular aspect of our curriculum." He continued, "the college takes great pride in providing for our students, with many opportunities outside the classroom. This is one aspect of the wonderful work that is done for our young people in developing life long skills."
