Remembrance Day parades and services across Liverpool were cancelled this year due to COVID-19 lock-down. However, on 11th November the college community gathered as usual, to honour the veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the many conflicts that have involved members of the British Armed Forces .
Normally the Head Boy and Head Girl represent the college at the very moving “Remembrance Sunday” Service held at St Georges Hall. This year they led the college community in a Service of Remembrance held on the campus of the college.
In “Flanders Field” was read by Head boy Joseph followed by The Last Post and Reville played by trumpeter Anthony Green. The ode “For the Fallen” was read by Head Girl Halle
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them”.
