Itching to be Stitching

"We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibres connect us with our fellow human beings." Herman Melville

The College "Sewing Bee" group have created a considerable number of bespoke resources for Post - Operative Breast Cancer Sufferers. This group led by Mrs Marie Smith, a member of the college community, has been instrumental in the organising, designing and promotion of these fantastic products. (Hopefully in the near future we will be able to present these items to Aintree Hospital but due to current restrictions this has not been possible).

These resources have been designed to provide comfort and support to patients, particularly those recovering from their surgery.

Mrs Smith commented “I am immensely proud of the group, very well done girls for your commitment to making someone’s life just that bit easier! Well done Jasmine, Isabella, Ruby, Pheobe and Lacey.

Headteacher Paul Dickinson said, I’ve always known that there is a legendary community spirit in the college community, and yet again our students have risen to this unique challenge” adding “Well done to the team ably lead by Mrs Smith and supported by Mr Davidson”.
